Hi everyone
I was wondering whether anyone could help me locate Magna Ralliart Seats. Im happy to get them from anywhere in Australia. Im hoping someone out there knows where a set of front and rear seats would be avaliable. Reward would apply for helping me out of course!!!
I know its a long shot, I missed out on a set about this time last year and havent seen anything since
Thanks in advance I hope

arent they the same as all the other 3rd gen seats except with red trim? if so why not look at getting your original ones retrimmed will be cheaper and easier to get hold of.

yeah I have a roll of the original ralliart trim here at home but you cant beat factory imo. the front seats are different in the ralliart's to the vrx,, they have a bit more of a bucket feel, higher boulsters I guess.
in the end I think i will be getting my seats re-trimmed with the ralliart trim I have, just want to make sure the embrodiery looks the goods. seen alot of rubbish about

No they are different. Kind of like a cross between 3rd gen seats and recaros. They're much more comfortable to drive in.

Anything similar to the Verada 3rd gen seats? They hold you a lot better and are better moulded, perhaps get a set of Verada seats re trimmed if you can't get original ralliart stuff?

Nah different again to the verada seats, i don't think the verada seats were much different to exec, maybe abit more cushiony.

I reckon they're really different, a different shape and all. Maybe Type40 could tell us if he thinks theres a largish difference between the two, he did do a Geelong to Mill Park drive on exec seats then Mill Park to Geelong on my old Verada seats, probably would know the differences if any :P

exec 3rd gen seats and verada seats are very similar, perhaps its just the softness and leather that makes them feel like u stick there better..
Ralliart seats however are vastly different to stock seats.. they sit u up a little higher, have alot more support on the sides.. basically they are a luxury version of a bucket (recaro or similar) as they are softer then these brands..
however if you are looking at doing a retrim you can get the joint that does it to add padding to the sides..

Ralliart seats are the same frame work as standard seats.
The foam is different and more bolsterd(?), but if you can lay your hands on the foam it's a straight swap.
Head rests are differnt to standard and VRX.
Have you tried Mitsu for the foam?
I am after a headrest cover if anyone comes across one.
Thanks
Rodney

The Ralliart seats had extra foam added to the sides to hold you in the seat better. The extra foam was stuck on rather than moulded from memory. The drawings are around here somewhere, I'll see if I can find them.

yeah Im quite chuffed, an old friend of mine who used to work at Mitsi brought home a roll of the ralliart red material in 02. Sat around his place up until now so ive snapped that up. Its foam backed too which is a plus. I quite like this as opposed to the VR-X green.
Im just worried how the embrodiery is going to turn out. I dont want it looking like crap
I was thinking just getting the factory seats as they look better but ah well.
