I wondered how long it would take Mitsu USA to jump on this loop hole. My other supplier will only ship within the USA also. I had my intake and air box sent via a US mailbox I had set up some time back when I worked for an American company. Whilst it may not be the answer to your problem (it costs over US$100 a year) it may be useful for anyone who regularly ships from the US. There is also added shipping costs as they ship via DHL but the packages usually arrive in 2-3 days. If you can get free shipping in the US, from the retailer, then it's not so bad. The site is:
http://www.myus.com/
I use it for every company that won't ship outside the USA and you can have multiple names on your mail address (at a small extra cost). It can be a bit of a pain to set the whole thing up as you need to fax supporting doco to them in Florida but, once it is done, it is a breeze to use. They also have a personal shopper service for those companies that won't accept a non-USA credit card at time of order. For a small fee they order and pay for the items which then ship to your US address and they on ship the items to you. Cheers...

Just a thought, but did you specify US Postal Service for delivery? If you put courier that may be why it was rejected.
Hopefully it's just as Foozrcool suspected. I had a failed attempt to buy the box and intake last christmas (too many gifts). I thought I'd try again now that the exchange rate's sweet as, and it came about a couple of weeks ago at my parent's house. I might have been the last one to buy it!
Can't wait to try it out when I get back in a few months. Anybody know where I can buy the K&N online?

With the release of those 20 SuperCharged 380's, that may the 90mm available in Oz. Unless they have a VIN request with it:rant:
But I did see a 4" tube sticking out the front of the Filter box, taking in fresh air from along side the radiator (almost directly in front). Which strangely enough is blocked by a guard on my model/year....
That has cut out the need for the 90mm Intake but lost the factory look. (And a good deal cheaper too). But some of have gone way past caring about that now...
I didn't have time to take a Pic tho:doubt:
Mod done by BlueVRX......

Ooops......Sorry bout that.
Do you reckon you throw a Pic up...
I would have to remove that Baffle/guard/plate thing tho.
Mind you the Forced inductions use the U.S. Intake and it looks a shed load neater, but yours is pretty discreet.

That is a very intersesting set up having 2 air intakes....I noticed you still have the standard 60mm. Obvious question is did you get a noticable improvement??? Have you still got the standard rear muffler??

Hey Blue 380, didnt notice an improvement for at least a couple of days, Ecu sorting itself out. Now, using the tiptronic 1st,2nd,3rd gear is great, K&N goes in this comming weekend and yes im still using the standard rear muffler. Cool nights are really good. One thing im trying to find out is, what size are the injectors.

Yeah, you've gotta love winter for that extra power!!!
Sounds like you're getting serious if your thinking injectors....K & N should make it more responsive but for a couple of hundred dollars, replace the rear muffler with a straight thru & then you will really be looking at a decent gain.

Cheers Ash, You da man.
There was a fair bit of discussion about how to get a more cold air to the intake, removing the rubber, widening the hole immediately in front of the factory intake, I would have even Threatened to cut up Knotched's bonnet to more air in there. ( I cant find that Thread) lol
Thats gotta kill the 90mm Galant intake, Now known as The TMR intake:bowrofl:
Some guys wanted to keep thier 380's as stock lookin as possible, But Hey, that was months ago.
Next step is a pod, I suppose, with/out tubing for directional cold air. ( And the ensuing Pod/Panel Discussions).
Looks like up to Series II had the baffle you lack.
Thanks a bunch for postin that up.
Hope to see on a cruise soon. The - Mt Nebo/Somerset Dam Cruz on 29 june, should be good, show the torque on the 380's up dem der hills.

Hey fella, i took the front half of the Air Box out, measured where to cut out the hole with a hole saw and neatly filed it til i was happy with it. In all from start to finish, about an 2 hrs taking my time.:) Cheers Ash
