Also known as an AIC - Auxilliary Idle Control - you can prolong their life by cleaning it out with carby cleaner - they get full of crankcase muck :P

Your other question regarding injector cleaner...

No, it barely works, you would be better off spending your money on a high detergent fuel like Optimax.

Injector cleaner consists of Kerosine or diesel + Auto Trans fluid. There are recipies on the web, try these instead of paying $10 for $0.50c worth of materials.

Ok, I can't help with your idle motor apart from saying if your revs seem to be dropping and then increasing slightly have your O2 sensor looked at as well. Mine went KAPOW.

Injector Cleaner. Look around and find who sell's INTERJECT. Buy a bottle of cleaner and put it through your fuel. It is the absolute best you can possibly buy short of ripping your injectors out and putting them through a proper clean which will cost into the 100's of dollars.

The interject bottle that you add to your fuel is the same material they use for the sonic bath but diluted a little so as to not be too strong. Well worth the search and the possible 15-20 dollars it might cost you. Mate of mine owns the rights to INTERJECT here in Newcastle. That stuff is absolutely brilliant.

Regarding the ISC motor,

MMAL Spares are charging ~$270 for a new one.

I got mine today from Nardek http://www.nardek.com.au/isc.htm for $200, and its genuine as well.

It is quite simple to install, however you may find it hard to remove because of the position of the bolts if you dont have any specialised tools.

if you are noticing significant problems that you can attribute to injector blockage, no solution is going to clean them. Get them removed and ultrasonically cleaned. They should be good for another 200,000+ then.
