ok help is finally required for this one. trying to install a vacuum gauge in my tj sports 03 3.5L and sorta hit a wall on what to actually tee it into. I know its gotta be on the throttle body somewhere but where!? there's a lil spot that has AEP on it with 3 hoses but i could be completely wrong and it could have nothing to do with it. any help would be great i just dont wanna be cutting fuel lines or somethin crazy like that. cheers peeps!

Prob wouldnt do FPR.. id prob just go off back of Plenium somewhere.. Leave fuel system alone or your dodgy work will leave you on the side of the road oneday..:)

Off the back of the Plenium there is a EGR valve that should have vacuum lines comin out of it.. tap in there with a "Tee" piece.. That should be sweet..

P.S. What do u need a vacuum guage for anyway..??? :)

The Workshop manual says to T it into the Vacuum line for the Power Brake booster.

lol honestly? jus the flashyness of it but the practical feature is that if ur a lead foot (like i sometimes am) u can have a better understanding of how it is affecting ur fuel economy, or so i hav heard. so is it the lil connection on the far right near the TB?

Vacuum gauge is a great way to keep an eye on your engine too - have a look on the web, there are pleanty of articles outlining how to diagnose everything from a blocked exhaust to worn rings, bad valves etc.

The vacuum line for the brakes  HELL NO. Its huge, and if something goes wrong, you lose all vacuum assist. Magnas are VERY heavy with no vacuum assist, good luck in stopping in time!

FPR is the best line, its only a 3mm line, get a plastic T piece and hook it up there. If the line falls off, the worst that will happen is the fuel pressure will be a bit high and you'll run rich. It won't stop you.
