hey all, look my fuel flap will not close, i dont know why,i have tried pushing hard ,doesnt work i have tried everything, can anyone help as i dont want some one syphoning my fuel:bowrofl:

Dont be too worried, 3rd Gens are very hard to steal fuel from, some sort of anti-siphon mechanism apparently, so any potential theives will be ssssssssssssssssssppppppppppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg ggggggg.....

Might have to check that the release cable isnt jammed somewhere under the driver seat.

mine has started to do this. but if i close it then sort of try to lift it up and down it clicks into place.

yeah late model camrys have the same thing as we have tried to syphion fuel out of a couple before.

how many people use the fuel cap holder on the flap??
i know its there but from force of habit i never use it

i use mine every time. saves me losing my cap.

i just put my fuel cap in between the trigger and stand ther with my hands folded..lol automatic refuelling:D

that way i wont lose it no matter wat!

my flap is getting realy stiff to open! dont know why.. no probs closing it though
