G'day ,
Will a TF V6 Engine bolt straight in to a KR Verada?
Is any wiring, mechanical or ECU changes needed?
Thanks
Roger

No. It won't work. Engine is the wrong orientation.

2nd gen engine sedan or wagon to
2 nd gen Verada no problem either the 3 or 3.5 V6 if just swapping
2nd and 3rd gen cant be swapped as above
3rd gen swap I have no info
for engine you need the swaped motors engines ECU and loom
in this forum are the downloadable manuals for your car
search function is your friend

You have a second gen mate, as I stated before a third generation (TF-TW) engine will NOT go into your car. The orientation between the second gen 6G72 3L engine and the third gen 6G72 3L engine was switched, so the gearbox is on the alternate side.

nah man...all of the 3rd gens engines wont fit. the 4 cylinder, 3.0L and 3.5L that is...however, with the engineering etc anythings possible, but u might as well just go DOHC conversion

Thanks for that, guys.
Place in Adelaide is advertising DOHC imported motors to fit TR-KR, just sent them an Email to get quotes for one:D

Is your car auto or manual? Post back if you go ahead, would be interested in the cost.
BTW Lucifer I think he got confused coz magna buff said 3.0L or 3.5L for 2nd gen.

yeah mate depends on your budget and preference. whether or not u spend say $5-6k on the conversion (id also go manual while there) or save ur cash, sell the 2nd gen and go 3rd gen or something else :D

Mine is Auto. I thought the DOHC would bolt straight in & only need a ECU change:cry:

3L DOHC DOES bolt straight in!
Will need the ECU to be wired up, the power steering hoses to be re made and the air con pipes to be hooked up + regassed.
Can source diamante DOHC Exhaust manifolds from NZ pretty cheap if not extractors are the way.
