Hey guys, does anyone know if the front seats from an Evo 6 bolt straight into a TJ Magna, or not ?
Having a quick look, they seem similar, but, who knows.
I have a mate with an Evo6, but rather than taking out sits and trying to fit, getting some info here would be easier.
Cheers

The seats and rails are heaps smaller, in both width and depth, need custom work and get it engineered.

On that note, forget it. Not worth the effort imo

If you give up that easy on the seats i hate to see what happens with the brembos.. They arent an easy job.. you need to change wheels and what not..
It took me 6 months to fit them as i wasnt going to change the wheels.. i had to put spacers under the rear hubs, spacers under front wheels, longer wheel studs, widen my front guards so wheels still fit under and then engineer it all.. Very Big Job..

So no one told you the brakes will need custom work and will have to get passed by an engineer then.

You guys seem to flame alot without knowing the full facts :S
Yes I know all about the brakes, however, fitting them isnt the hard part :S Im looking into rims that fit over the brembos, no wheel spacers will be used on my car at all.
In terms of, to much effort, i wont do it, whats the point in going EVO seats if there going to be such a pain it fit :S Ie, not only to I need custom railings or whatever, ill need to get the seats retrimed to match my current car aswell.
If I was going to that effort, I would get better quality seats.
The question about the Evo seats were because I was able to source a set fairly cheap, and thought, hey, why not. But you guys just dont get that.
Perhaps I should just not post here anymore fullstop ? Will that make you feel much happier ?

Seems that all your problem for your front brakes were wheel releated. Spacers to clear the front spokes, longer wheel studs to fit in the spacers, widen your guards to fit the 245 tyres.
What if you put a set of rims that were known to fit behind the brembos to begin with ? Dosnt seem like a whole heap of effort there does it.

Mmmm...
Im sorry you will need to run spacers.. Evo a tyre shop will tell you that.. EVO wheel is only wheel that will fit with no spacers..
Look at Chris(Gremlin) he has a EVO and they had to use spacers..:)
Goodluck with it..

Nothing against you, suppose its just a bad day adding up (its my bday 2morow but :))
U guarintee you I wont use spacers on my rims, and they will fit ;) (not my 20s, but the new rims that is)
You will find there are alot of rims that will clear the caliper, however most of them are jap, and are quite expensive.

No offense taken.. if you take offence on a forum you need to get out more..:)

no no andrew. when im done im going to be quicker than your lancer around Wakefield :D
As for rims, most of you guys seem to complain alot about not being able to fit them over the brakes, however, you will find most Jap rims will quite easily fit, things along the lines of Rays, Gramlights, Volk and Work. Problem is, these rims start at like 1700, and thats just for rims (no tyres).
Volks, about 3g.
In a bit of seriousness now, as fine as an Evo is, and I admit, I love the cars. at the moment, I cant afford them. Not the purchase price, but rather the insurance, and the fact im going to have limited places to park them.
At least with my Magna, im paying for the fact its not done aften
