Heya all,

I am having trouble lately of removing my gear knob (tippy) on my ralliart. I've tried twisting and pulling yet can't get out of it. I had a look on the workshop handbook but it does not shows the steps of how to remove it.

Maybe this n00b doing it in a wrong way? :D

Not sure how they differ from your car to mine, but mine is a single screw and when it gets loose enough the knob just pops up and slides off.

*waits for sexual connotations to be highlighted*

there is a little screw on the side closest to the back seat that needs to be removed, once its out then it should slide straight off.

You need to remove the button and theres a nut underneath there.

To remove the button you need to slide something small and thin down each side of the button to unclip it from the shifter assambly.

Doesn't it just twist left then pull off? At least thats how it works in omars KJ and every 3rd gen I've seen at the wreckers..

Sigh,

Early 3rd Gens such as TE/TF used a single screw on the dash side of the shifter to secure it, TH onwards (I believe) use the nut.

My KH has no bolt, just a screw facing the stereo.

Well, it is definitely on Ralliart, took the button off first then unscrew the bolt inside.
