HI all, I have an GReddy E-Manage on my 3.5 litre magna. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how often I might need to do a re-tune. I ralsie it should hold its tune indefinitely, but since it was installed I have installed some extractors and done a few other breathing mods. Considering the extractors may change the engine characteristics, is there any need to re- tune the unit. Cheers.

i think you'll find it's actually called a GReddy E-Manage not a 'Gready Emanage'
with installing new performance parts it would be advised that you get the E-Manage re-tuned so that the maximum amount of power is recieved.

Im no expert but the extractors will change the torque curve so i would say it would be worth while to get a re tune done (i maybe wrong)

answer is yes. to gain the most benefit. I added a plenum and the tune was well out at varying points according to my tuner. I noticed a difference after the tune was done...alot smoother engine

people often forget besides engine oil, the engines tune is the most important factor when it comes to longevity, regardless of power out put. If the tune is very specific to you setup, then changing anything would be best to be at least checked on a dyno for AFR's. Something as significant as performance extractors on a NA engine make a huge difference, thus the tune is going to be out, not enough to rob you of real world horsepower but defitnely some smoothness

Thanks Frenzy. Had it in for a while now, forgot the spelling. Looks like I should head back to Motorcafe 101 then. Have actually felt the engine wasn't quite as sharp since the extractors. Might need a refined tune.
