My first post i have a tf that has a shudder when dropping into drive a low revs
the torque converter was replaced 7000ks ago but problem has returned
have been fobbed off by dealer and part supplier since initial repair was done 10/06
can anyone offer any help before i start being told the converter has to be replaced again

check all your engine mounts first mate.

hi fellas and thanks for the advice
the car has done 142000ks
the torque converter was originally replaced at 133000ks 18 mths ago so as you can see it doesnt do much work and the shudder usually becomes evident only when driving around town when evething is warmed up its not an issue when highway driving

p.s. i took delivery of the car8/07 and had it roadworthied then no engine mount dramas then

depending on how thorough the inspector is will determine wether they pick up the mount or not.
I had the top right mount busted for 3 years before i got it repaired. No one said anything.

Howdy again
On my old Commodore I could tell when the engine mounts had failed. I placed the transmission in drive and placed my foot on the brake. Then gave a few short sharp revs. The engine would move in the mounts, causing a knocking sound. It was also visible to the observer. Not sure if this would work for you, as Commodores are rear wheel drive.
