According to Gregory's long flashes represent tens and short flashes represent units.
Two long flashes followed by two short flashes would indicate code 22. If more than one code is in memory, each code will be displayed in sequence. Other code would be 15.
Code 22 is Crank angle sensor. Code 15 is Cruise control switch.
The codes should be confirmed prior to further diagnosis. You need to clear the codes. Road test the vehicle and recheck the codes. If the codes are not set, an intermittent fault is indicated.

To clear the codes
1. Switch the ignition off
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal for 20 seconds
3. Confirm that no fault codes are present
4. Bring the engine to normal operating temperature and run it at idle speed for 10 minutes

Edit

If no fault codes are in memory, the Check Engine lamp will flash continually at 0.5 seconds intervals.

do search for "engine fault codes" there is a thread with a few good links in it regarding the codes , how to check them and what they mean
