Hey guys recently brought a TL and was wondering what do you do to fix a CD problem. The problem is when i put in a cd burnt or orginal it comes up with E--2. Whats the go here?

Probably want to look up the error code in the manual for the car, probably means dirty disc or something. Odds are the laser is on its way out, probably best off replacing it with an aftermarket unit, a entry level Pioneer or Sony deck isn't much over $100 these days, and they're a breeze to install in 3rd gens.

If you want to keep your audio stock I've got a stock CD player from a TL that you can have for $50 +post. Let me know.

i had it cause when i put my "burnt" cd in it had a piece of paper on top of it which fcuked up the laser reading then it E--2 came up, only can listen to radio :(, there's nothing you can do to it now.


so go to mitsi dealer they will replace it free of charge under warraanty,

only took 2 days for it to order and to come and replace mine.
Oh yeah don't say you used burnt cd cause using burnt cd voids warranty but i always do lol :bowrofl:


P.s. but they don't really mind for you i hopes

i dont hink they play burnt cd`s i could be wrong i removed my factory cd after a month so dont really remember!
