Hi, just wanted to say that I had one of these installed on Monday by a Clarion dealer here in Canberra and I am pretty happy with it. This is from the 2008 range which is not shown on the oz Clarion site. I'm not a real car audio freak but I am very happy to have got rid of the sony explode HU and have something that is half decent.
Has pretty good features, audio in and usb in on front and plays well from a usb thumbdrive.
installed for $260 in Canberra with a 3 yr warranty. I had considered getting a Pioneer DEH-P6050UB for $340 off of Ebay (JBs will sell them for $500-$550) but wanted a warranty with this unit and didn't want to spend $600 plus.
So if you are after something that is not too flashy but has some good features then this unit is not too bad.

P.S. they were selling the next model up with the ipod control function and a couple of extra outputs for $229 + instal.

Sounds good mate, what is the unit running?

bit of a late reply...
the unit is currently running the stock speakers, they actually seem to handle the power quite well at the moment. I am pretty happy with it, it can play virtually anything. I've connected it to my PDA and it seems to do a decent job of that also. I've only played one cd in it since I got it, I just run the MP3s from my 2gb usb drive. When the stock speakers give up I will probably take a look at some of the kevlar speakers from Jaycar.
As you can see from my response I am not a diehard car audio fan, I am mostly just happy to have a reliable unit (firstly a stock cd that went 'sometimes', and then a Sony that was a bit iffy from the start), with very good input flexibility which sounds good.

Cheers
