I need to replace the inside door handle on the drivers door, outer section of lever has broken off but still able to open door. The door has central locking but no power windows.
Are there any tricks in replacing the handle or is it just as the Shop Manual and Haynes book provide.
Many thanks in advance.

from memory removing and replacing the door handle is quite simple, don't even need to remove the door card, just unscrew the small screw and its just a matter of sliding the backing off and removing a few clips that hold the handle together.
if you haven't already got them, replacement handles are usually available from ebay, just get the right color. or a local wreckers. shouldn't cost more than $15

On the inner door handle there's only a screw and the actual lock rod holding it in. Undo the screw and pull the handle forward so you can swing the white plastic locking clip around, slide up the rod and that's all there is to it.
Probably won't take more than 10-15 minutes, no more than 5 minutes once you've got the hang of it. Very easy fix.

very easy job to do.
i did 3/4 of mine.
as magna91 said, there is the one screw behind a little bung type cover and then the actual rod that attaches to handle on the back and will take no more then 5 mins to complete.

Thanks for the helpful replies. New door handle arrived this morning from WA to Sydney by courier. Only ordered late Friday afternoon. Did not have time to get to a dealer or wrecker.
New door handle fitted without any problems.
