At last, I have proper wheels on the car. Went for 18 X 8's to keep sidewall profile relatively high so I can flog the car on country roads and not worry about potholes. Rims were $201 each from JAX. Went totally berserk on tyres (I beleive in buying the best you can when a fist sized contact patch is all there is tween you and the road), Bridgestone RE050A's at $558 each in a 245/45/18. Looks the biz now and boy does it hang on.

For those of you interested in the same rim beware that with 245's you will get very light touch on rear guard lips on full bump compression )I'm going to have the lips gently rolled next week).

Yeah took it for a 60k run today to go to MagTech's place and back. Deliberately took the route with the most roundabouts. It sticks like superglue :)
