Car is back on the road again complete with blower. WOW, I feel like a kid again:p

I must admit the blower whine is really quite obnoxious, slightly irritating when cruising gently. But I got goosebumps when standing on the throttle. The sound is fantastic, the jet engine cliche really sums it up. Also the exhaust note has changed - quite a bit deeper, but still shrieks up top.

But more importantly, I'm rather happy with the way it goes, it really is a BIG jump. I know i will get used to the power fairly quickly, but for now booting it in 2nd is quite exciting (forget about traction in 1st).

Anyway, I have been told "we ran out of time to finish tuning it, it's a bit lean at the top, so don't thrash it constantly." Apparently it gets as lean as 13.5:1 at one point at WOT, so I need take it a bit easy (not that I wanto thrash it on public roads, the odd squirt is fine by me).

Will be get it onto a dyno to get the tune sorted and do a power run. all the tuning done so far has been on the road with a Wideband.

Pics and vids to come. I will get a vid of it it on the dyno when the tune is finished, and at Wakefield.

List of mods in my profile.

But most relevent to the Sprintex are Walbro 550hp fuel pump, SMT6 has been unlocked, 2.5" system with 3" CAT and RPW "race" headers.

Oh yeah, Quaife LSD is quite helpful in putting it down:)

Next mod is most likely going to be water injection.

Congrats mate!
So glad that SC went to someone on AMC and no better someone than you to get some value out of it.
Wish it was me :doubt: lol

We all know what it looks like, but some pics in your car would be great anyway.

Two things you need to do now.

1. take me for a drive
2. Head down to the creek, and see what it pulls. Sprintex and LSD = alot of surprised owners of Commodores and Falcons

3. Properly set up car without fully sick 20's and ultra lows!

But he dosnt have 20s and superlows :S

Andy runs 17s, and King lows, soon to be replaced with a custom setup.

unless that was directed at me, but then you wouldn't of added it to the list of things that Chisholm should do, would you now ?

Rob I'm pretty snowed under with uni work and other stuff atm, but I'll certainly be happy to take you for a drive sometime soon:)

My main interest is in circuit, but I'll certainly head to the strip sooner or later for some fun!

As for suspension, I may put that off for a few months :( The koni yellows I've been waiting for months on STILL havn't turned up, and cash reserves are getting low now after the sprintex, especially if I go ahead and get water injection and an oil cooler fitted ASAP.

For those interested, my suspension plans are: koni yellows revalved to suit custom springrates I've picked, made into coilovers. (I've come to realise the rates I wanto run may not not be held captive by unmodified struts, thanks Cummins!). Though I have been talking quite alot to Heasmans (NSW Bilstein rep), so I'm not ruling out a Bilstein setup.

Fair enough. Im kinda been busy from uni work aswell, dam uni. What can we do but.

Ive been following your suspension plan on this forum, and the other forum for a bit now, I was looking at doing something quite similar, althought I may go down the LSD path first, as I need a new clutch soon anyway.

But glad to hear the supercharger is bringing such a smile to your face :)

Lol typed it wrong. Meant to say Chisholms car is actually decently set up. Wasn't an attack at you.
