hey all,
got bored over the weekend so i decided to make some eyelids for my car
all ive done is gone into bunnings picked up a sample pot of metallic paint, a can of clear coat and a small foam roller
now they have come out alittle darker when what i thought they would look like but it's not too bad
started it from the point of the bonnet and tried to keep that same distance around the headlight

heres a few pic's:

now they didnt turn out too well so i might cut them back and start again
but for now i'll leave them and see how they go :)
so let me know what you think and any questions just post them up
cheers Rob

they look pretty good man.

if i were to do this tho i would make the line go right across the headlight tho, from the tip of the bonnet where you started to the edge of the light, if you get what i mean.

i quite like it :)

i often wondered what they might look like - now i know!

at night do they get a bit of a 'glow' effect to them coz the paint covers the beam of the globes?

i personally would have also gone for a straight line - parrallel to the lowest edge of the headlight ass'y and measured it (for example) 12cms and painted everything above it to get a straight cutoff line - but that would have prolly cut into headlight beam a little too much...

night pics please!

I didnt know you wanted eyelids dod(I should have read the other thread). Interested in letting me make a fiberglass set on your car? Your still in mackay right? Free set for you if you do.
