Hey all, this will be the noobiest type audio question you've ever heard, but it's important. Only current upgrades I've done to my audio system are a decent alpine deck, alpine 6.5 splits in the front and alpine 6x9's in the back (yeah,doing all alpine gear one bit at a time). Home is in WA, but I now live in canberra with work, and am next going home to my car in may; already having booked it in to have an Alpine amp installed. But I'm wanting to know if it's worth it?

The amp itself (4 channel to run both sets of speakers...) is $460, and they want another $190 for installation including cables etc... Its a lot of money for me and I'm just hoping ppl will tell me an amp does make a serious, noticable difference?

Yeah it will make a big difference. For the money I would get an Audison SRx4, stuff the whole single brand crap. $190 for cable + install is ok, as long as they do a good job and use qualilty cables.
