Now before you say use the search button, I did and couldn't find anything helpful.
Basically I need a new battery. I have a fairly decent sound system.

Now after talking a to a couple companies, I have found the following 2 batteries which seem to be what I need. I am not interested in the Optima D34 before anyone says it, as I am not prepared to spend $450 on a battery.
The 2 which have been recommended are both Australian made batteries:
Century 67 - Hi performance range. 480CCA, 105min RC. Unsealed lead acid battery. $189
SuperCharge Gold MS50 - 600CCA 105min RC. Sealed maintenance free. $140

Both have a 3 year warranty. Is there any advantage/disadvantage with the sealed ones? Apart from the obvious maintenance issue.

Cheers
Pete

Came across this site. Scroll down to the Batteries and hopefully you might find something useful. :)

Thats the sort of thing i was after, someone who had used them as I had never heard of them! Did you use the sealed or unsealed variety?

I used to sell exide batteries (made by gnb here in Adelaide) and would warranty about 2 a month, we now sell century batteries and would warranty about 2 a year, so I say go the century. Also I should be able to get one cheaper than that!

i've got the supercharged battery that your thinking of getting
had it for over 2 years now and it's a very good battery
havent had any problems with it and is still going strong
but then again i killed one in just over a week, pretty sure it was cause i had a slow leak
but got another one and its the one i have now :)

My current one is the first sealed one i have tried so we will see what happens but i think unsealed would be better..at least you can check levels and top up if required..
