Well, ive searched and found a bit on this topic. Basically, I allready have the correct tool for the bolt, however, it wont fit over it. Seems like the previously owner (or mechanic) has attempted to change the filter in the past, and has rounded off the bolt. Know I cant get a good grip with a normal wrench, and I cant get a line wrench on the bolt.

Im very fustrated at the moment. Ive pulled half the fuel line from under the car in a bid to let me try undoing it by hand, but, ofcourse this didnt work.

How else am I going to be able to replace the filter ? Is it possible to cut the line somewhere, and attach a new peice (plastic) on ?

get a set of chuck norris grips aka Locking vice grips they will lock onto just about any bolt including rounded units, then give it a tap with a mallet to break the seal then you should just about to undo it by hand.

If worst comes to worst, whip out a file and re-flatten the edges.
