View Full Version : User Error- please repalce the user?

wired up my paras today. all was going well until i got to the testing stage.
at this point i found that the low beam on the drivers side didnt work. but when it was bumped up to high beam it did.

-they only have one globe in each section right so it isnt a busted globe.
-its not wiring on the car side either as all settings were working fine on the standard headlights.
-passenger side works fine (except for the parkers didnt connect them yet [is that legal?])so i must have the process right.
any ideas?

if you dont connect your parkers i am led to believe that is illegal. sorrycant help with anything else lol

oh well whats the chance anyone is gonna find that they arent connected. ill do it later... might not even be keeping them in there anyway if i cant find a solution as the car isnt drivable at night at the moment

Are you sure they are not busted globes? If they are the H4 type that do both low beam and high beam, im pretty sure the low beam fillament can burn out/stop working and the high beam is still good. Swap the bulbs around from each side, from all what you have said I think you will find its the bulb.

right cool what are the globes worth roughly. ill pop out and grab some tomorrow. didnt realise the bulb had two separate filaments. that would make sense i guess, with differing strengths and such

umm like $5 for a cheap one :D

Really really recommened getting some better ones though, like a pair of 50% brighter ones

you can get the calibra one for about $25 there bright and there a good globe. i had them in my old 2nd gen
