When it wasnt raining, i noticed a hole at the corner of the boot so i filed it up with some sealant and I thought i fixed it ( I poured water on it and it didnt leak ). Well the other night it rained very hard and when i jumped in the car and moved it, i could hear a water slushy sound.
I opened my boot and my carper was soaked and the well for the spare tire was filled up like a little pool. I had to use an empty ice cream container to empty it all.
I checked my seal and it only seemed to leak when the boot was closed and i noticed that when i open and close the lid, the metal where the hinges are bolted onto flexes real bad.
I pulled the rubber seal of and there is no cracks in it and the lip that the rubber seal slips onto isnt cracked either.
How much do you think its going to cost me to get fixed ? to me it looks to far gone to fix it my self. Everytime i try feel for the hole, rust just falls down
Luckily it didnt wet my sub box but im going to remove my subs and amp so condensation doesnt kill them.
