View Full Version : Dent options
Hi folks,
I managed to dent my front bumper (01' Verada) some time ago (not paying attention to guy in front while pulling out of petrol station, he had a towball) and it grates at me everytime I see it.
I don't really know what options there are aside from the prohibitively expensive replacement bumper.
Was hoping to grab some opinions/options. Apologies for the poor pictures, cam phone was the best I had. The dent is roughly golf ball in size and shape, dented in about 3/4 of a centimetre at it's deepest point.
speak to a plastic welder perhaps, surely it can be heated and massaged back into place from behind.

Yeah talk to a bumper repair guy or panel shop.. They will heat it up and most of it will come back out.. they will need to fill and paint whats left.. So i would be prepaired for painting the bumper.. Allow $200-400 for it..

Okay, thanks guys, will speak to a body/panel shop. Don't live in SA. :)
Would the entire bumper have to be resprayed then?

if u lived up newy way i could hook u up with a guy i get to do my car when i have encounters like this. he is a touch up specialist and pretty much makes dent like that disappear for $80 painted!
as u're in vic all i can recommend is look in the phone book for automotive touch up specialists or plastic repairers. if not- body shop sigh
as for respraying...if u can get a touch up specialist to blend it then no...if u go for a body shop repair you're gonna be lucky if anyone will touch it if you dont get a full respray.
