Got a steering rack on my TS V6 auto with play in the driver side tie rod arm where the rod enters the rack. Anyone know a place in Adelaide that can recondition them? Leaks lubricant too, so probably needs a full overhaul.

APS (Australian Power Steering) do an exhange unit that you can purchase, basically its the price of the reco unit + core deposit then once you return your old unit back you get the core deposit back. Any Supercheap can get that for you if you have any issues with part no's shoot me a PM and ill get them for you.

WHOOPS!! SHOCK!! HORROR!!

Repco (was driving by at the time) quoted me $525 for an exchange rack!
Change of plan - fix the one I've got!!

Have you got the TR/TS online manuals?

EDIT: If you like, I can email you the specific PDF for the steering rack.

Yep, I have the manuals.
I will pull the rack at some stage and see what is going on.

Thanks!
