Have a problem with the Auto Choke. It would not open on a cold start, (used the throttle) but as the motor warmed up it was fine. Disconnected it for the moment. Thinking about putting a manual choke cable in. Are there any common problems for this type of carb? Or is it time to replace it?

best option is to take the car to a workshop with a gas analiser/dyno
to reset and check the carby
the vaccume pot must be working for the choke to go off
next check all the rubber tubes for cracks or perish
the charcole canister may be used up
