gday guys.
i have a it of a question for you all. i am going to lift my muffler up, as im trying to neatin the car up before autosalon (if we get enough for a group) lol, anyways i have three choices, cut the back bumper and dont put any plates in, so its just a straight cut, or i can cut the back bumper to any shape i want for 160 with a plate not painted, 260 painted, now this is my question, should i have it rectangle shape with sharp edges, or curved edges, or custom. if you choose custom what sought of thing should i do?
sorry about the pic, but this is what it looks like at the moment.

If you can get a rectangle cut that is high enough to fit the lot in it will look clean as. Like the bottom of the tips level with bottom of the cut out area.

Mike I think i showed you in another thread the tip on my car now. It had the rectangle with curved edges to suit the BA tip I have, but as an example for you is just a straight cut and no other work.(kinda straight)
here is the link. Maybe try this and then have it moulded later. This took 5 mins for a panel beater to cut for me.http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?p=842279#post842279

is that what you mean by plating it. Only my opinion but it looks awful. Is there anything else on the car that matches it?

 The only hope for that is to recess it into the bumper, bog, sand, respray.

Why not cut the bumper as required and use some bog or 2-part plastic repair putty to create a cosmetic lip around the exhaust tip. Respray.

I cut these with a grinder and will one-day put a lip around them:

Yeah, I molded it on the cut bumper and a piece of carton. I'm just to lazy to wrap it with carbon fiber, I'm sure it will look very good with CF finish.
Like this bumper

you wont be able to see the plate like that. the plate will start from where the cut is, if i wont a pattern like the vrx bumper, i can get them to weld it higher if you kno what i mean, but yes they will be spraying it to match the bumper, she showed me a sample and you couldnt tell it was after market from the untrained eye.
