Hi Shoot,

I have an aftermarket Bluetooth kit (also Parrot based but with voice announcement and recognition) but the info I have for the factory fitted is that it is mounted in the drivers side air vent, in the dash. I haven't seen anything in the CD based manual from memory. I think I saw it in my features flyer that came in the glove box originally which tells you how to use the seats, bluetooth etc. I'll try to find it and post more info if possible...

Cheers Zarbs, I was thinking of mounting it the steering wheel but the wire aint quite long enough, besides, in the airvent it would be better insulated against feedback....
Thats exactly what I needed to know....
BTW... I scored the lot for 200 with a 6 month warranty, and of course, a receipt with the donor VIN.

Thanks again.

Checked the 380 Quick Reference Guide and the arrow for the microphone location points to the right hand air vent in the dash near the drivers door. The CD service manual doesn't mention anything about the Bluetooth system that I can find (easily)...

Just make sure its not in the direct airflow of the vent.

After pullin the old one out completely and partially assembly of the new, I found out I dont have the plug required on my wiring Loom. Had to take it back.:doubt: ...

The guys were cool about it and gave me 100% refund.

Though I did make some improvements to the FM modulator and its headphone input while I was in there, So I didnt completely waste 8 hours and some Gas.

Zarbs is spot on the mic is taped to the tweeter mount on the drivers side. Just be careful as mentioned it needs to be away from the vent, and not the tweeters firing line.

Enjoy shoot.

Anyone have any issues when using the bluetooth system? Many of my call recipents complain that I sound like - too soft or far away, so I kinda have to shout out which is kinda disappointing

No, mine works perfectly. I've not had Bluetooth in previous cars, and my wife has asked why I was talking so loudly to her (as I wasn't sure how well the little mic so far away would pick up my voice).
