I've done a search and cannot find any info on standard EBH for the TJ Wagon, I think the front is maybe 400mm, but I don't know the rear standard EBH, I phoned MMA and the guy didn't have a clue and told me to go and measure one.

I already have lovells sport low springs in the front and my EBH is 370mm (which is ideal if 400mm is stock as my insurance company said no lower than 30mm drop)

But I have a heavy LPG tank in the back spare wheel well and my rear EBH is 380mm with (I think) stock springs (black springs with yellow paint marks) the rear is mushy and I want lovells springs in rear to but don't want it too low (no more than 30mm rear EBH drop from standard)

Also my front right sits at 365mm but the left sits at 370mm....the last owner was a big heavy man....new front shockers maybe needed.

my front right sits a little lower, think it's due to the engine.

i think stock were 415 and 405 front and back respectively on my TL and it shouldn't be any different to a TJ.

ride height from the centre of the wheel to the wheel arch

its a term we dont use in Victoria cos we used to determine the legal height as 10cm clearance from the lowest point of the car.

i think recently it has changed to also include 1/3 maximum raise/lowered from the stock 'eyebrow height'

the 1/3 rule is that you can't change suspension travel by more than a third of the stock suspension travel. so when lowering you must retain 2/3 of the OEM travel.

for example, if the original suspension travel was 90mm, the lowest you can go (without changing bumpstops) is -30mm which would leave 60mm of travel.

and before you ask, these figures are pulled out of the air. I do not know what the original suspension travel was in my Series 2 TJ... I even called Mitsu and was informed that no one there could help me.

of course, if your car has the 100mm clearance, you will more than likely pass a road side inspection, as it's almost impossible to check the suspension travel while the car is on the road.

cheers,
