Ive just bought a bunch of H1 halo bulbs for the TR parkers, now when i plug them in, they dont light up. is there any reason for this?
They are H1 12v 100w

Cheers

did you touch the glass on the bulb with your fingers?

Bingo, you cant touch the glass on halogen bulbs because the oils on your fingers either make black spots on the bulb or stop them working all together.
EDIT: Is there any reason to use a 100w globe for parkers??

:bowrofl:
Parkers are 10W
Normal headlights T10, Parras, BA9S
Hope you upgraded your wiring.
probably blew a fuse or something cause its draining too much current

ok, had a look. no fuses blown.... havent upgraded wiring either.
is it easier just to buy a bunch of 10w halos for parkers. just thought i'd get em cos my original ones have just bought it. thought it might be worth trying the halos...

Im no whiz with electronics, but if its a 10W globe, in T10 form (No idea how you made H1's fit????) usually the best option is to stick with T10, and stay within the 10W region, i.e. 7W or 12W.

I use LED parkers for mine they look alot better :)
And again, they are parkers (parking lights) so using a 100W bulb defeats the purpose of having little light output which is what they are meant for
