"catback" is short for "catalytic converter back"; meaning, replace all of the exhaust after the catalytic converter, "from the cat, back". Doesn't necessarily mean you have to get a "cannon" (ala "wog cars"), just give it a freer-flowing exhaust to give a slight increase in performance (think I've heard the Sports model Magnas only really have this difference, and get another 5kW or so?)
"claybar" means using a detailer's clay bar to really clean the car up; basically rub the car with a special hunk of "clay" to remove all of the crud that has accumulated on/in your paintwork, then proceed with a good wax/polish/whetever they do to give it a "good as new" finish.
I think it's a bit of an acquired skill.

Very minor, but I find the little things I will always do to a car makes a big difference. Like better quality light bulbs, better brake pads etc.
I think a dark tint would be first up if you havent done it already. Then maybe some lowering or mags.

good quality springs that lower your car.. and what price?
cheers AMC!
CLEAR INDICATORS, how could no one have said that yet. 380 ones for the sides like we all do, and standard magna front indicators to go with the parras.
If you want to see the different have a look through the thread on my Verada, link is in my signature.
Just an extra in regards to the clear front indicators. Use the standard Magna ones, put them in the oven to heat up the glue to remove the lens. When opened unscrew the silver and orange reflectors and use the silver/amber globes to replace the clear globes. Presto.....Really clear indicators. Check out Squeakers profile to see his. I've just done it to mine as well.
Or you could use MicJaiys technique (not that he's actually tried it I don't believe). Use a screw driver to smash the orange piece inside the light up through the hole the bulb fits into, then shake it all out. If it works it'd be easier than melting and re-gluing stuff.

IF you can find them..
i've got the part number and even my mate at a Mitsubishi (also a ralliart) dealership cannot match it to anything at all..
it's not everyones taste.. but check out my KJ Verada XI..
http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58245
just to give you an idea.. mine only has king lows and new KYB shocks all round.. with the 20's it gives the impression it sits pretty dam low.. but it's not really.. big speed bumps are not an issue (cept for the mud flaps, which are going soon!)
the exhaust is just an off the shelf system.. heaps of ppl run them.. bolts on, minimal fuss.. still quiet.. not dronney.. and you don't get that gay rasp some of them get.. and a little bit of a difference in the upper RPM..

also when you get some nice tinting done..
if you want to tint the sunroof, and want it to match the rest of the glass.. tint it in a slightly lighter film than the rest of the glass..
i've got the factory tint on the rear screen + T20, plain T20 allround, and T20 on the sunroof.. T35 (lighter) would be great on the sunroof to match the rest of the car.. but ohh well.. with T20 on the sunroof i can have the trim cover open all day and the sun doesn't even bother you!

theres 2 part numbers, you want the whole assembly, not just the cover (clear cover isnt sold anymore, complete assembly is)
when i got them there was apparently plenty of stock
(forum member _Nick PMed me about them on 19/4 when he ordered them, only 11 days ago... so they are still available)
check part numbers thread and grab the other part number

Parabolic headlights are the whole thing, you'll notice they are different to the 'Executive' Magna headlights. Since you have a KH rada, you'll have them anyway!

They arent indicators, theyre just the courtesy lights on the door that come on when the door is opened. Yours will be red, the diamante ones are clear. Looks heaps better if you dont have a red/bergundy car :)
these are mine:

I said with the parras, Veradas were the only ones that came with parras up until the TJ sports/vrx, how can you call yourself a AMC member and not know what does and doesn't come with parras!! :snooty:
lol

sick.. definitly worth while.. the red looks gaybo.. (not that there is anything wrong with that  )
i'm also looking at folding up some stainless scuff plates for the doors.. see how that looks.. :)
EDIT - just found the post in the parts list thread, the whole assembly part number - MR906553, my local dealer didn't have them in stock, they have them in sydney.. $8.30 each?? doesn't sound right.. sounds incrediblly cheap.. oh well.. we will see tomorrow!

any perf. mods?
A straight-through muffler will give the car a nice note as well as a decent performance increase. A cat-back system isn't necessary, but I believe a complete Redback system with muffler is only around $350 + installation, so it might be worth looking into.
A straight through muffler was the only difference between TJ VRXs and the SII Exec/Advance mechanically, yet there was a 8kw difference between them :)
suspension, good idea?
Suspension is a very good idea! Magnas sit rather high from the factory. It'll look a LOT better lowered. Plus, your handling will improve significantly.
The only trade-off is a firmer ride, but it won't be rough.
