Hello guys,
What's the general consensus on a fair price for a 91 TR Elite?
Car is in overall good order, seats & interior are perfect. Only thing not working is the power
aerial, air con blows nice and cold and it runs well.
Car has new front pads and rotors, struts about 2 months old.
Motor etc is good, 213k on the odo - valve seals & timing chains done recently. Rego to Feb 2009.
Have to sell it as I need a wagon or hatch for work. I was hoping to get around $2k or a bit over for it, what's the general feeling on that?
I can't advertise it here as I do not have sufficient posts, but will probably ebay it.
Thanks for your input.

Yep, i reckon around the $2000 mark, maybe ask $2750-2500 and negotiate from there.

I think a lot of it depends on where you are, in city areas the prices seem to have been forced low, you'd probably get more in country areas. I'd say you should be pretty happy if you get $2k, unfortunately some pricing is ridiculously low and it affects everyone's perceptions.
You still see early 2nd gens advertised for $4-5k, and have to wonder who they think they are kidding, but you never know, they might actually sell for that price.

I paid $1,200 for a 94 TS wagon, V6 auto. Good engine and gearbox, perfect interior but dead paint. 231,000 Km, Sony CD player, working air. It's not the asking price, but finding an interested buyer that can be the problem.

Thats almost exactly the same as what i sold 5 months ago except mine was a 92 Elite with 222k kms. Mine had KJ 16" rims, nice exhaust and about $600 worth of sound system left in it and I got $2000 with out RWC.
