Hey,

Despite originally being told (by Rey Reece) that they would not ship out of the US, I tried again (using the US postal service as the courier) and my intake has arrived today!!!

YAY!!

Will get a K&N soon, do you reckon I should wait till that comes? Or will I notice a difference by just putting the intake on?

Also, does anyone know if this will affect warranty in any way at all? You reckon the service guys will notice next time i take it in?

Cheers guys.

Won't affect your warranty as it was originally manufactured for this engine. It does affect ADRs for drive by noise, that's all.

I'd get the K&N as well before you fit it. With just the intake you'll struggle to notice much difference although in reality it is giving you a good gain. But rather than have to take it off again do both at once.

With the K&N, the throttle comes alive and is as responsive as a mechanical system. The small lag and doughyness is completely gone.

Mitsubishi have had my car a couple of times since I did the 90mm & they have never said anything...probably didnt even notice.

If you check out the NZ Power thread, there are quite a few pics of the intake there.

Yeah, check that thread for heaps of pics, on and off the car.
My last service, I forgot to put back on the front rubber strip and engine cover - so both were off the car. I told them so that they wouldn't supply & fit new ones - but apart from the acknowledgement, they didn't make any comment. (I also had the 90mm intake and lowered suspension - they didn't say anything about those either, if they even noticed)

Yeah, all the pricing and details are in that thread - plus all extra information regarding results, driver feedback, etc. Its a long thread, but its worthwhile to check it all (or at least skim through it), especially to see the comparison pics.
Good luck.
