Hey guys
Anyone have anything like this happen to them?
Yesterday when i left home my car was running really rough and idling very low...almost stalling....so i parked it for a minute and it went back to normal and ran ok all day....this moring i started it and it was very rough again and ended up dying...and it hasnt started again since then....it cranks....but then nothing..
Anybody got any ideas? I think it might be my leads but just want to be sure.
Thanks
Its a 3 litre DOHC by the way.
Could be your Battery, ECU, Injectors, or Fuel pump.
There are numerous other things that could be wrong, but if it was idling rough then went ok after a bit it could be in relatioto the ECU or battery. If the ECU loses power it will forget how to idle and leaving it for a while will re-train it.

I think its the leads. Mine does it too. Mine have travelled 150000k's so time to replace. Intermittent problems --> electrical
Check for little cracks along them. Safe bet they'll need to be replaced anyway.
Bit suss on it not starting though... Spark plugs might be gone.

Get the leads from the US - Can get them here with iridium plugs for about $120 AU Compared to $200 AU For just leads by buying in australia

Vote 1 for battery... dead cell. dropped voltage and the ECU goes MIA= No start!
with the lead up the rough running as the battery was dying....

Had this happen once, engine was running rough and would cut in and out at random, before just giving up completely one morning. Was cranking but not firing.
Turned out to be the battery. Voltage was there but the amps weren't. It can play havoc with the ECU sometimes. Just a suggestion, if you do have access to another battery then give it a shot, you may be lucky. Otherwise then it's something else, plugs and leads as suggested above.

Just a guess, i'd say a 3 litre DOHC. lol
Most likely the 6G72 Double Overhead. Profile says "Something Hardcore" anyway, so...

As most have said change the battery is what the problem sounds like.

Ouch, sorry to hear mate. Didn't think it would be that severe... :(
Depends really what you think of the car overall. If it was good before the problems began, then it may be worth a rebuild. It'll only get better once it's properly rebuilt and like new again.
