i bought some new stuff yesterday and just wondering now i read the boxses if its bad

the amp buts out 4x 75 but my 6x9 take 65 rms.

will i stuff the 6x9's.

6.5 take 70 rms.

if full gains is 75wrms then half gains would be 37.5wrms, 3/4 is 56.25wrms so basically about half way between 3/4 and full would be about right :)

Or use the technique mentioned in other threads.

Gains all the way down, volume to 3/4, turn gains up until speakers begin to distort, then turn it back a tad.

Arhh but max clean signal will vary with the input voltage...

could this be why my tweeters aren't working yet? becuase i haven't changed the settings on my amp?
i have them wired correctly and had one working before i hooked the other one up, but now both don't work

Guys gains arent a volume control... They are a sensitivity control. Match the gains to your headunit voltage output.

As has been said
Gains on min,
Find a loud CD
Turn it up as loud as the headunit will go without distortion
Slowly increase the gains until the speakers start to distort
dial it back a tad

This means u have maximum control of your volume range, and drunk friends cant blow up your gear by cranking it. I hate getting into peoples cars and when the headunit is on 1/3 volume the speakers are distorting, pumping the gains does not get anymore out of your amp, and doesnt make your system sound better or louder.
