I would like to change my dash lights from white and I have seen some red and blue led globes advertised. I don't want to pull my dash apart to find out what I need, can anyone tell me what looks best Red or Blue and what type of leds I need? and how many of each type?

I have blue and red in mine the red isn't very bright... a bit hard to see from 90km to about 150km

there are some on E bay at the moment that are really good just do a search for magna and they will come up

i put the blue covers on my te dash lights. Looked good, but not really that bright. I since have swapped the cluster to a sports one and it is a lot brighter, but that it because the lights are shining thru the plastic.

I still have to change my a/c control lights tho, as they are still blue.

Don't Quote me on this, but from the research I've done, you need 5x T10 Wide Angle LED's to fill the cluster. To buy the kits off eBay its ~$20 delivered.

yeah cluster globes are t-10 wedge based globes. fairly easy to change 15 min job. so you can either get covers to suit the globes or buy LEDs that are t-10

only need 4 T10's for the main cluster..

anyone know what size the led's are on the indicators etc? tiny ones. and whats behind the air con controls etc? need to get aroujnd to changing these.

I'm wondering the same thing, I bought some blue slip-on covers and they did SFA...

not sure about the cluster cos i did not need to do it, but the a/c controls have two only t10's. I put 3-way super bright leds beind mine. the ashtray cigy lighter have t5's, my centre console has been converted with a 12cm led strip down each side of the tippy selector housing. IMHO the bulb covers fade pretty quickly cos of the standard bulb heat. I used to use three on one bulb but still it faded.
edit. i also put three T10's in the tripmeter.

as for the air con and demister switches themselves you need to take apart the switch to change the globes.
they are special globes, closest i could get to match were t-1 i think.

and the small side indicators are t-10

thats a TJII yeah? they don't have globes they are lit up with leds soldered on the board. :shock:

indicators in the dash, as well as high beam light, seatbelt light etc are much smaller than t10. i presume t3 4 or 5 but i dont know which.
