Brake fluid. Or some mad cut buffing....

Story behind the cut... overspray on BennyVRX's VRX, I had to buff the crap outta that stuff to get it off lol

I thought it came off pretty easily with metho or something. Im sure I know someoen who had it and took it off easily a few times with something. Give something with alcohol a try. Not beer.

It comes off very easy off glass with metho, not sure on plastic, but should be similar.

what about if you put clear coat on it?

id say dnt use acetone id will remove more than the clear and the nightshade, t will burn into the plastic if you leave it for too long. i used it to fix up a bit on my lights and where i used it the acetone dried and left whtie stuff on my lights and also 'burnt' some of my plastic.

i used it to get rid of some badge paint on a panel i had also, and it worked liked a cut and polish, took off alot more paint than i needed.

i think your best off with metho, of that doesnt work....

get a 2nd set of tail lights and tint them so you can just swap em over if you get yellowed.
be warned though that tinting lights is illegal and if you are involved in an acco the assessor (theirs or yours) could knock the claim back for that reason

Paint thinners to remove. I had too remove mine due to a cop being on a power triplol went to work rip it off in no time and didnt do any damage at all. Once removed was the tail light with normal car wash to stop the thinners eating into the tail lamps or any spills on your paint work.

(I do not take any responsbility for any damage to you lights or paint work. U need a little amount at atime)

You can buff it off no worries

Question though - why are you tinting clear tail lights sort of defeats the purpose  Why don't you put your standard lights back in and tint them - would look HEAPS better than the clear ones even if they weren't tinted

another option, i did this on my old car. put a layer of clear sticky plastic on the tail light, the type we used to use on our text books back at school.
spray that. then when you want to remove it, its as simple as peeling off the plastic layer.

Even if u could buff it off... there's gonna be traces of it left around all the Regulation Print Lettering.

The first time i ever used night shade, I went too dark and ended up using very low grit wet/dry sandpaper to get it off. During which time, I got really excited and sanded off all the regulation print too - left a much smoother finish. :D

Obviously this left the plastic looking dull, so i just gave it a couple of coats of clear coat.

Maybe not fully legal, or regulation - but much less obvious than tinted lights.

well clear tail lights are of at the moment due to haveing serious cop trouble driving to and from work for the last week. some of you may remeber a couple of weeks ago i had to get permits for everything, well i did, yet they wont leave me alone, and i hate the stock tail light look, i was hoping i could do a light coat over the taillights, but not over the reverse light, reflector, or tail lights if you know what i mean. what do you think? lol i have taken my pod filter on and of someting like 6 times in the past 2 weeks lol. anyways just wanted to make sure it was easy removable if the cop even notices.

I like this idea, may even consider it

Get it of with paint thinners man. worked for me wen i had to put my TR over the pits. And yeah its yellow stickerable if its real dark. if your just goin for the slightly smoked effect then your fine.
