hey guys ive been on these forums having a look around and you guys seem to no wat oyur talking about and me being 17 i no nothing. lol.
but my car when im taking of vibrates like a cat in water around the 40kmhr mark adn allso when i have say stopped at traffic lights or something it jsut sits there n keeps on vibrating but other then those two times it runs perfectly, wats wrong with it?:rant:

first off, what model is it? if its a 3rd gen, they tend to idle rough at idle, usually means that the batterys on the way out.

its a 99 th srx limited edition, oh ok, wel when i was installing my car audio after i had finished i plugged the battery back on and the computer shat itself but thats fixed now but could that have something to do with it?

maybe i also owns a Th and it idles rough in drive, ive gotten used to it now doesnt effect the overall drivability of the car and when im at the lights i shift to neutral.

Sometimes mitsubishis have issues re-training themselves after an ECU reset, generally if you still have problems after about 200km of grandpa driving you should take it back to a mitsu dealer and have it re-programmed.

I personally know this guy (mates from school), i dont think it is physically possible for him to drive like a grandpa lol

Hehe, was kind of hard for me too... but its a bit of a requirement for the ECU to get the shift ratios, idles, etc... right. Normal driving until it learns.

Someone mentioned in another thread leaving the car to idle for about 10-20mins after an ECU reset, and I have to say it works a treat! Gets the auto shifting properly straight away.

Disconnect the battery again to reset the tranny, then follow the attached steps. Should hopefully help.
