Hey guys

i know theres a few electronics guru's on here so i thought i'd ask for some help/advice

basically i know my thermatic fan sender is buggered, so a while ago i got a relay hooked up to my ac so it comes on when my ac comes on.

Well now i want to make basically a little 'controller' which i can change the temp at which it comes on etc

does such a product exist? Would it be difficult/expensive to make?

Cheers

Humm, I have something simular here.

Basically it's from a computer case that switches fans on when certain things get to a pre set point. I guess you could use the same device to run a nice chunky relay so you could drive something buigger with it.

This is a newer revision of device I have.

The only problem is that the temp sensors arn't on very long leads, and they are rather sensitive to the resistanmce of longer leads.

Jaycar have a thermostat switch that has a set of relay contacts. Running the AC with the fan not running will simply ice up your evaporator, so its a bad idea anyway. I'd keep with the relay, do you have a fan speed control switch still - or is this climate controlled?
