i just adjusted my handbreak tighter, and it seems like the shoe is rubbing on the wheels, because when i drive it squeeks and gets faster with the wheels...anyone know how to fix this?

Handbrake should come up 4 or 5 clicks at the most. If it is making a noise, it is adjusted too far. Back it off a bit and it should be OK

Im assuming you made the adjustment in the console.. Id say back it back off a tad and then if its no good make the adjustment at the discs..:)

Howdy!
I have been told the hand brake cables are prone to stretching. Have a look at the bracket in the console where you adjust the tension. If one side is tilted then you could have the same problem as me: two good hand brake shoes, one stretched cable. In other words if you are trying to compensate for the stretched one then the good one might be over adjusted resulting in the shoe touching the inside of the hub. Park down hill, gently apply the hand brake while creeping forward slowly and you will soon feel if the shoe grip is biased to one side.
