Hi guys. Anyone out there installed the front (i.e between the sun visors) roof mounted map lights from a second gen XI verada?

Was Curious cos i have a set and was told of a bracket that was needed to mount it onto the roof, was wondering if the exec comes with the wholes for the mounting bracket (if there is one)?

And whether or not the mounting bracket is need, what it looks like, can i make one?

Any help would be appreciated

(P.S. Had a search, lots came up, but nothing of value)

Yes you need the bracket, there will be 2 dimples in the centre beam of the roof which you use for this bracket. :)
Looks like the bracket that comes with the lights man :D

the bracket is part of the map light just take off the cover to reveal the two holes were the screws go through into the dimples in the roof plate.

NOPE!!

The bracket is a seperate part (Tufftr will confirm this), it is zinc plated and screws to the roof and then the light screws to the bracket.

Then you werent taking it apart hard enough
2 parts - had like 5 of these in my time, and as Mal says, Screw the bracket to the roof then the light to the bracket
