Hey guys i was wondering if i had something that required a cigerette lighter to power it can i cut the cigerette connection off and hard wire into the car?

correct, you can splice into the positive and negative of the cig lighter, that way you still have use of the lighter when needed.
Depending on what item you are using (car charger or ipod charger etc) make sure it has an in built fuse or try and make one up to protect it and the device requiring power.

Make sure u connect positive and negative properly. Get a multi-meter and work it out

That will definitely allow you to have a device connected, out of sight and mind

i would assume that the fuse is inside the box somewhere next to the transformer or whatever is in there. send a message to the seller and ask. expect a bad reply with poorly translated engrish.

fuse will be inside the 12v connector, unscrew the tip it's spring-loaded.
