Cheers,

Approximately 572mm that's from where the wiper clips into.

If you are getting replacement blades, there should be a book nearby that lists all makes and models?

it was new arms that i was after, one of the old ones has pretty much rusted thru at the base, it squeals every time it goes on, started to give me the ****s so i thought id get a nice new set of Isotta ones or something....bit of a splurge, need new blades to add to the problem

Hey mate, if you really want to splurge, get some Bosch Aero Twins. They are the flexible ones, you rip off the whole old wiper bit, and replace with this.
They make the car look a lot neater, they are designed to stick to the windscreen at speed, and ahve a much smaller profile so they dont stick up as much when you are looking out the windscreen, not to mention they wipe great.
You are supposed to replace the springs bit of the blade every now and again anyway. They cost about $30-$40 each though from memory. But, you might be able to get a slightly longer arm than whats in the book for the drivers side I think, you might get a bit of extra wipe area, coz there is at least 5cm inbetweent the two blades at rest.

while were on the subject of wipers i have a little problem with mine,
where i park my car it gets the morning sunlight and it seems to dry out and crack my wiper blades im always buying new refills because they dont wipe well after they dry out
btw i cant just park my car the other way, its very inconvenient considering the way my driveway and garage are situatied
my question is will wipers like this 'shield' the refill and keep it from drying out... ive always wondered on wipers like this and fanced getting a set bacause i think they look mint
your thoughts appreciated
cheers

They should, as the rubber is covered from the sun

check out some of the ones you can get with an aero shield, not too dissimilar to the Bosch ones, when i get mine (and the front repaired :doubt:  ) ill put up some pics in the members machines posts and drop you a PM with details on them if you like.
