For those both who have or havent recharged your KN Filter, check the packaging as to how much oil to use so you dont over oil the buggar,
just saw my oiling requirement the other day, then checked the bottle too see how much i had used, used close to double the recommended amount, thus explaining the-not-so-crash-hot economy, and power as of late.
should be the same for pod and panel filters, makes a bigger difference that you think:doubt:
thought it might be a useful thing to check and make sure on. :)

even if you havent over oiled ( i realise you said you have) its always best practice to after a short drive, removed your air flow meter and clean it using Co2 contact cleaner aerosol. This will take the oilly residue off the wires inside the AFM. Then after a week or so, next time you fill up even, repeat this process, since after this time there is very little oil that hasnt been injested by the engine already, and by cleaning it off after a week the second time you can be quite sure its all gone, as oil will insulate the wires slightly causing a foul reading from the AFM.
Even if you dont use too much, its stil best to do this, as the oil mist from the filter does make its way to the hotwires of the AFM anyways eventually.
As long as you dont touch the hotwires, you will be ok. just use the contact spray (circuitboard cleaner)
