I know that the caps are only $8 from mitsu so maybe the bottle is cheap also.

I enquired with Mitsubishi late last year about a new overflow bottle for my TS V6 Advance. They needed the Vin Number as there are 2 different bottles for the same model. From memory the cost was around $42 all up.

mitsu charged me $12 for the overflow cap for a 1st gen TP i didn't think car parts went up in price as cars got older :bowrofl:

Maybe parts are starting to go up in price 'cos they think the first gens are moving towards classic car status instead of just being old... lol

I can go DP Wreckers for you tomorrow morning - tons of fangas there.
I think the only one that is different is the one that is with Non ABS/ABS models.

This thread can stay as you are looking for an urgent part.

In relation to VIN numbers, if the idiots at mitsubishi can not tell the difference between an ABS and Non ABS bottle, find a new dealer!

The ABS bottle sits up near the strut tower on the LHS, the non ABS model sits further forward.

Wreckers charge about 10 bucks for these, are a dime a dozen

Put your forum politics aside,...
NO ONE HAS AN OVERFLOW BOTTLE. These are the rules with this and cannot be changed for anyone.

No one has an overflow bottle, no one has any flow whatsover.

Spot on Madmagna. The Mitsubishi Dealership was just taken over by City Ford in Sydney, and the guy's in the Spare Parts were replaced by a guy who came from Ford.

Since then, I travel an extra 15 klms to a fully own Mitsubishi Dealership.
