ok ive searched google but havnt got anything to answer my question.
with my carputer project i plan on using a M2-ATX power supply.
how do they actually hook up? like has any1 got a wiring diagram or can sum1 explain how they are wired up?

to wat i can gather it goes from the motherboard from were a normal power supply goes then goes to the car battery or 12V power source???? is that correct?

because the m2-atx has that 'smart' or 'intelligent' feature, it will need constant positive, negative and also a remote or amp or accessories line to tell it to turn the computer on when you switch the car on.

similar to a car amp for a sub or speakers.

so one from the battery (12v) one ground?? andone from the ignition? (can u just use the ignition wire used for cd headiunits?

i found this. does that look about right. so i can get the power from my distrabution block to the M2-ATX and run the trigger wire from my amp to the M2-ATX and then just ground it??

Another feature the M2-ATX has is a amp turn on wire, which is separate from the ignition / amp turn on wire that gives it the signal to turn on.

Basically you use this wire to power on your amps, as otherwise you will have a very nasty pop sound when your comp turns on. It waits 15 seconds i believe after the computer has been turned on before turning on the amps.

Edit: After seeing your wiring diagram you dont seem to be connecting the computer soundcard direct to the amps, so you probably dont need to do this.

The manual: here (http://resources.mini-box.com/online/PWR-M2-ATX/PWR-M2-ATX-manual-engl.pdf) explains most of the connections / how to wire it up, if you havnt seen it already.
