Wassup community,

I have recently purchased a Kicker S12L7 and a Cadence ZRS-6000D with the intention of putting into a 2001 Barina - the only additions along side them will be splits and a 2 channel amp. However, as this is to be put into a Barina, I am concerned of the possibility that the car may not have the power to sustain the sub.

This may seem a little silly, and I do plan to have it professionally installed (not at JB), but it would be nice to know ahead of time if I need to incorporate extra expenses into my budget.
Will it be necessary to get a capacitor, new battery, or lower guage wiring(size?), etc? Any estimates on cost would be appreciated.

Cheers.

How many amps are the two amps combined? Just add up the fuses. The Barina will surely have at least a 450A Battery, so I doubt there will be an issue.

The thing to remeber is that your amps wont use max power all the time, even with the whole lot going on loud you shuldn't have a problem.

EDIT: Look at the fuses on the amps thjem selfs, then just add that total up.

Thanks a lot fellas. The two amps will be running seperate from one another, one mono for the sub, and a 2 channel for the splits (I assume thats what you mean by them running seperate).

Doesn't matter how you power them (as long as it works properly), just check the fuses on the 2 amps and add them all up. Thats the maximum power the two amps combined can pull at their maximum load (which is pretty rare anyway to pull maximum load). Then check the amp rating on your battery, shouldn't be an issue.
