What do you other guys do for red globes for the clear rear lights on your magnas ?
I tried spraying the globes with a stained glass red paint, but they weren't red enough. Gave them another coat of the paint and when I turned on the lights the paint started to get to hot and smoking :?

yeah i used paint... its worked so far.. also try nail polish... works as well..
you can buy LED replacment globes from jaycar electronics..

Just gave jaycar a call and they told e they don't have anything to fit. I might give nail polish a try :)

Red 21/5 W globes should be pretty much available at all auto shops
nowadays since a lot of manufacturers are making cars with clear rear
light housing.

i managed to get two stage red bulbs...

two stage in the sense that stage 1 is parkers and stage 2 is the actual full brake light :D

3.95 each where i get mine from! they look / last and work a lot better then painted globes :D

red lense dye will work, most auto parts stores have it, but get the brushon type not the spray.

Do not put the single filament bulb into a double filament bulb holder, the
pins are offset. The single filament bulbs are usually 5 watts only so if you
force the single filament bulb into a double filament bulb and it makes
contact with both +ve pins then you either send 21 watts to it during the
day or 26 watts to it during the night, not a good idea. I am sure if you
hunt around, you'll find double filament red globes. How else do the
honda people with altezza lights survive.
