hey folks

finally got my car working again after replacing the whole damn ignition system.....
still got a few problems but i'll save them for a rainy day.
I just realised that my immobiliser remote has two buttons and i don't know what the second one does. The first one disarms/arms the immobiliser but the second one just makes a green light on the remote light up when i press it and other than that apparently nothing (apart from setting off the alarm after i press it several times)

Does it activate/disarm the alarm?

Does the immobilizer have an output for remote boot unlocking?

Sometimes thats what the second button is for on aftermarket immobilizers. :)

Might just need wiring in.

Try googling the name and or model number for instructions.

it may be the alarm i'm not sure?
and i would have googled it already if the damn thing had some kind of marking on it, the only thing that's noticeably distinctive about it is that it's grey seethrough plastic...haha

Should be somewhere on the box that will be under the dash somewhere :)

I'd pop over and have a look but yur a tad too far away lol

thats the exact same as the one i just installed....its for if you've got an electronic boot release as stated by Ol' Fart. It needs more than wiring as most of our models ( i think :confused: ) didnt come with that, maybe the radas did...So unless ur feeling up for it, looks like that buttons gonna keep on doing a whole lotta nothing!

My secondary button (mongoose m80s) silent arms / disarms i.e.press that then the other button and the car wont beep at you

Opens boot when you hold it down

Carfinder if you hold this and the other button for a short time (alarm will go off for a short period)

Panic alarm if hold this and the other button for an extended period (alarm will go off for longer)

Try some of those.

Self destruct button :bowrofl:
