Hey guys, not much of a mod but my radiator's got a big ass crack in it, so I've ordered and just received my new one. Probably gonna have a shot tomorrow arvo, any tips? I've got not much of an idea, I'm just gonna have a look and hopefully figure it out :D

Shouldn't be that hard, though I haven't had any experience with anything under the hood before, but should be right, just anything I should know?

Cheers

yeah buy coolant before you drop the stuff you have already.

Get a new thermostat, and some new clamps aswell.

Good luck

Nothing to it really, drain radiator, undo hoses, undo bolts and connectors if any, remove, replace, reconnect refill.

If you have 2 people its a 1/2 hour job max, nothing you can really stuff up.

Alright, I'll get ma mate to come over and help, I've already got a new bottle of coolant.
Why do I need a new thermostat and clamps (which clamps too? Remember, I haven't even looked at it :P)

Clamps are a good idea because the factory clamps are really silly and a pain in the **** to remove/reconnect. Just get some standard ones and replace them.

Thermostat Id recommend against doing if replacing a radiator is a big task for you, theres a fair bit of stuff that needs to come off a 3rd Gen to get the thermostat out...

As a precaution, replacing the top and bottom hoses with new ones while you ae at it is cheap insurance....

Thanks guys, just finished up, easy enough to figure out, I see what you meant about the clamps though, wish I had've listened, they were a bitch to put back on, oh and about the hoses, they got replaced prior to me buying the car. Thanks for that, good as new, oh and don't worry, those clamps'll definately be replaced next time the hoses come off.
