Hi Guys,
I really wanted to write this tutorial in 3 parts nice and easy across 3 weekends. Ha, was a bit ambishes. Nway will press on.
Problems:
Still waiting on Alpine pdx5 to come in and focal 6.25 3way k2's, 6x9 for rear. No surprise sub is in stock but have to wait for quality components. Sigh.....
Chasing the power wire straight from the battery as originally planned, very difficult without pulling the airbag and climate control out of the car TRUST ME!!!
Progress:
I have chased the power wire, speaker wire, rca's and remote turn wire. Power wire down the drivers side, and rca etc through the center of the car (VERY EASY, no pics or advice needed here). Please see attached pics.
I have built a rear bolt on shelf for the amp and cap (see pic). Now important notes for this particular amp mount it is important to note only digital amps can be used for heat dispersement reasons (Talk to local audio guy if need more info). I recommend the blaupunkt and alpine 5 channel digital versions (both award winning) (note. with the blau that local distributor has gone into liquidation so you may have trouble sourcing their product like I did Hence the Alipne)
Ok, think thats maybe enough for now, next part will be the final post "fingers crossed", speaker, dynamat, amp installation and tuning. As per usual happy to answer any question love to help where I can and I am always open to advice myself.
Oh, if any1 has a local alpine guy that will ship or has the PDX5 amp in stock let me know.
Cheers Gents!
